9th Street dining

There is a selection of local and chain restaurants on the neighborhood’s east side along 8th Avenue and 23rd Street, including Hiroshi Teriyaki Grill, a family owned business that has been serving the area for around 30 years. Carniceria La Tuxpeña and Restaurant serves classic Mexican fare and cocktails. For groceries, King Soopers is about a mile away on 11th Avenue and Save-A-Lot is nearby on 25th Street. “One of the biggest appeals of Arlington Park is its proximity to downtown,” Franzen says. Businesses along Ninth Street range from art markets and bars to long-standing restaurants like Doug’s Diner, an old-school eatery serving brunch seven days a week.

Advanced Manufacturing at Greeley Central High

Jackson Elementary School and Brentwood Middle School each earn a C-plus overall grade from Niche. The B-rated Greeley Central High School has advanced manufacturing career pathways for students interested in topics like industrial technology, programming and experimental design. Sports facilities and community resources at Centennial Park

Farr Park has playing surfaces for baseball, sand volleyball, tennis and pickleball, along with a playground, open field space and picnic tables. Glenmere Park is a short drive northwest and, along with a playground and picnic areas, has a picturesque fishing pond full of largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish. Centennial Park is 2 miles west of the neighborhood and has a public outdoor pool, a baseball diamond, tennis courts and a skate park. The Centennial Park Library has a vast variety of programs, including story times, book clubs, jewelry-making and yoga classes. The library also has 10,000 items on its shelves and hosts classes from writing workshops to a four-week course on American Sign Language.
