Every summer, Island Grove hosts the Greeley Stampede, one of the city’s most popular events. “The stampede brings in thousands of locals and visitors every year,” says Chuck Bowles, a Greeley local and associate broker with Austin & Austin Real Estate. “People who grew up here and moved away come back every year for the stampede. The Greeley Evans Transit Regional Transportation Center is in Clayton Park, with numerous bus stops across the neighborhood. There are six routes throughout the city, along with the Poudre Express route, which provides service to Windsor and Fort Collins. U.S. Route 85 is nearby and can take drivers around 50 miles north to Cheyenne, Wyoming or about 57 miles south to Denver.
