Enos Colburn Park sits in the center of the community, which residents enjoy year-round, whether dipping into its outdoor pool in the summer or ice skating atop its rink in the winter. It's also home to a wooded trail where many go for strolls with their pups. Just over a block south is Lambeau Field, making for easy commutes to the stadium to catch a Sunday Packers game with friends or peruse the memorabilia at the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame and Museum.

Shopping at Green Bay Plaza
The community is home to Green Bay Plaza, with retailers like T.J. Maxx, HomeGoods, Big Lots and others, as well as an Aldi for groceries, making shopping convenient. There are also several locally owned stores like Roots On 9th, a flower shop, and Rock N' Roll Land, the local spot for new and used records. "There are coffee shops like Bhava Coffee where you can get a coffee and walk to the park," explains Magnuson. The local and woman-owned café off West Mason Street provides an array of latte flavors, from blueberry cheesecake to Fruit Pebbles, as well as a flight to try four at once. Meanwhile, residents head to Cheesesteak Rebellion, known for its Star Wars-themed interior for Philly cheesesteaks.
Nicely maintained ranch homes common throughout Colburn.
The homes of Colburn
Mature oak trees line the residential streets of Colburn, which turn modest front yards from green to bright orange and yellow in the fall. During warmer months, their canopies provide spots of shade for residents on morning strolls along the neighborhood's sidewalks. The community's houses are primarily ranch-style homes and a handful of tri-level, bi-level and Cape Cod styles, all built in the mid-to-late 20th century. The landscaping here is relatively minimal, with shrubbery hugging the front exterior of each and flowers lining the walkways of some. Potential homebuyers looking to move into the community can expect a price range from $150,000 to $340,000, depending on size and condition.
Home team pride at West High School
Jackson Elementary School is within walking distance of most homes, teaches prekindergarten through 5th grade and maintains a C-plus rating on Niche. After a day at school, some students walk home with peers who live close to one another or head to the neighboring YMCA for after-school programming. Meanwhile, Older students will attend Franklin Middle School, which has a C-plus rating, before heading to West High School. The Wildcats maintain a B-minus rating and have a historic football rivalry with East High School, leading many locals to its stadium for Friday night games.
Summer Market on Military
From June to October, the Summer Market on Military runs every Thursday afternoon, connecting locals with businesses in the area through fresh produce and unique goods. Just across Fox River sits CityDeck, a bustling promenade that hosts regular events from live music and entertainment to the city's St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Commuting from Colburn
With state Route 54 hugging its northern side, commutes along the route carry commuters into downtown along a 3-mile drive east. At the same time, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College sits 3 miles toward the west. Travelers heading out of the area can reach their flights at Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport along a 5-mile trip via Packerland Drive, while HSHS St Mary's Hospital sits 2 miles northwest, off Shawano Avenue.
From the Colburn neighborhood, you'll hear when it's game time at Lambeau Field.
Packers' game day traffic
Considering its proximity to Lambeau Field, Sunday tends to be a busy day for the surrounding area, specifically for traffic. Thankfully, the travel influx only lasts a few hours along Lombardi Avenue and surrounding throughways. Alongside this, residential streets closer to the stadium have signs deterring parking deterring street on game days.
