Sought after Greensboro homes

Gridiron success at Grimsley High

Students in Starmount Forest will start their academic adventures at Sternberger Elementary, which receives an A-minus grade from Niche. The school has a unique initiative called HOOT, which stands for Helping Ourselves and Others Thrive. The program enhances emotional and social learning for students. The next stop on their educational journeys is Kiser Middle School, a B-graded school. Here, students can participate in clubs like Battle of the Books, the First Lego League, sewing, and chess clubs. Teenagers will attend Grimsley High School, an A institution. Grimsley High is known for athletics, offering football, swimming and lacrosse. The football team won the state championship in 2021 and was recently ranked the number-one high school team in North Carolina.

Stop by the Greensboro Arboretum

Spending time outside is an essential part of everyday life for Starmount Forest residents. They can walk to Lindley Park, which has over 100 acres of green space, baseball fields and sports courts. Younger kids can hang out at Declan’s Playground, playing on the jungle gym and other equipment or reaching new heights on the swing sets. Stock up at Friendly Center

Starmount Forest residents will find several well-known restaurants and retailers on the other side of Friendly Avenue. Harris Teeter grocery store is where they can pick up their deli meats, produce and pantry stuffers. Whole Foods is another nearby option for them to pick up other groceries. The Shops at Friendly Center shopping mall has several popular retail stores in one location, including Loft and Old Navy. “Friendly Center has everything that you might need,” Wilhelm says. After a full day of shopping and exploring, head over to Bravo! Italian Kitchen to enjoy some Italian favorites in a Roman-ruin environment. Get dressed up for a dinner date at Green Valley Grill, a fine dining restaurant serving European fare and wine with a courtyard and lounge.

Go golfing at Starmount Forest Country Club

The nearby Starmount Forest Country Club is an increasingly popular attraction with various amenities. “There’s a lot of young people that have started to join,” Wilhelm says. “It’s a really popular place to be.” The country club is family-friendly and has been a community staple since 1930. It includes a waterslide, splash pad, fitness facility, and a golf course to get a few rounds in.
