A St. Louis suburb

Though it isn’t named after the beloved blue Muppet, the Grover neighborhood in Wildwood, Missouri, is just as cute and charming. “Grover is a beautiful little village which now comprises much of Wildwood’s commercial core on Old Manchester Road and the surrounding area,” says Kathy Bradley, a local Realtor with Keller Williams Realty. “Living in Grover offers residents a more rural feel than other parts of St. Louis County while still providing great amenities like shopping and highly ranked schools.”

Quick-moving housing market

Grover’s housing market moves quickly. Homes in Grover sell after 21 days on the market compared to the national average of 42 days. The neighborhood offers a variety of homes, from cozy cottages and ranch-style homes to more spacious Traditional-style homes with an eclectic mix of Craftsman and Tudor stylistic influences. The average home here is listed between $400,000 and $600,000. Smaller and older homes are priced around $200,000, while Grover’s largest homes are priced around $900,000.

Grover’s most expensive properties are its undeveloped lots. The smallest lots are around 3 acres—much larger than residential lots in other St. Louis suburbs—while the largest are over 30 acres and listed at $1 million. For the right buyer, these lots could turn into a great custom home.
