Large estates sit of former farmlands
According to Nancy Kowalik, the founder and owner of the Nancy Kowalik Group, most of the housing stock consists of ranch-style homes and spacious colonial revivals on large lots in this neighborhood. She adds that there are also a handful of larger estates that were built on former farmlands. Homes can cost anywhere from $272,000 to $1.3 million, with an average size of 3,000 square feet. Lots are around 44,000 square feet, but some can be as large as four acres. “There are plenty of different home styles to choose from, and those newer construction homes tend to cost upwards of $1,000,000. The older homes are typically farmhouses that can easily be 100 years old,” Mccormick says. “And as far as the market goes, homes typically fly off the shelf around here because it's such a desirable place to live, but in this market, they can sit for a bit.” Residents enjoy large windows paired with cozy front porches overlooking lush green lawns. Two-car garages offer convenience, while long driveways and mature trees provide privacy. Harrison Township residents have easy access to the Gloucester County fairgrounds and all the fun it offers.
