Quiet community and central location draws homebuyers to Holbrook
Holbrook is a quiet Massachusetts town incorporated on Leap Day, February 29, 1872. In the 19th century, the town grew from an agricultural to a manufacturing community before the housing boom transformed it into a residential suburb in the 1950s. Holbrook today has just over 11,000 residents, and the median household income is $107,768, on par with the state’s median. Although Holbrook is primarily a residential community, the town is close to Braintree and Quincy, both of which are economic centers with biotech companies and business parks. Many residents work for education, life sciences and technology companies in Boston or the Greater Boston area. "It is a quintessential, quaint Massachusetts town. It's extremely residential, so we don't have very much business, but we have one of the best locations in the area," says Holbrook resident and Realtor with LAER Realty Partners Erin Matlack. "It has easy access to everything. We are approximately an hour from the Cape, 40 minutes from Plymouth, and an hour from New Hampshire. And with no traffic, we can be in downtown Boston in 25 minutes."
