Hidden away in the woodlands of Spring, Imperial Oaks is a community of subdivisions on the rise — more development is coming to the area as the neighborhood grows in popularity. “People in Imperial Oaks are there because they have newer, more updated amenities. Some subdivisions have their own parks and pools and even onsite elementary schools,” says Marco Brito, Houston native and Realtor with The Ray Larson Real Estate Group. “It’s also an amazing place to start and raise a family. You’ll see a lot of young families growing up together here and becoming lifelong friends.”

A cozy vibe and homes with great curb appeal
There is an overwhelming feeling of community in Imperial Oaks. Neighbors greet each other with a smile and a wave as they relax on the porches and patios of stately brick homes with sprawling lawns. While there aren’t many sidewalks, that doesn’t deter residents from neighborhood walks as they get their steps in while getting to know each other. The wooded areas around and throughout the space give something of a cozy vibe. The most popular style of home in Imperial Oaks is traditional, with some colonial style mixed in. Most homes are constructed of brick. These three- and four-bedroom homes can range from $265,000 to $450,000, with the median price being $325,000. “Lot sizes can range from 6,000 to 20,000 square feet, which is a lot smaller than somewhere like Benders Landing, but the neighbors are more prone to interact with each other because they’re closer to each other,” says Brito.

Grab groceries and a bite to eat
Imperial Oaks Shopping Center is filled with franchises and fast food restaurants for a meal on the go. For everyday essentials and groceries, head to Kroger, Aldi or Texas favorite H-E-B. “Imperial Oaks has some really great places for breakfast. Toasted Yolk is a favorite,” says Brito. “I personally recommend Woodson’s or Republic Grille for dinner.” Known for its breakfast menu and brunch vibes, The Toasted Yolk serves up perfectly poached eggs, piles of pancakes and some truly magnificent mimosas. Or take on the giant pretzel at Woodson’s Local Tap & Kitchen. Giving a little flair to American fare, The Republic Grille offers soups, salads and surf and turf that’s unforgettable.
