"There are not many other community spaces like us, so we're a good resource for the neighborhood."

It's easy to find something fun to do in Glenns Valley, with lots of recreational opportunities in and around the neighborhood. The Indianapolis Sports Park is a great place for some friendly competition, with softball, volleyball and cornhole leagues. Zip City Indy is a good spot to exercise in the colder months with several indoor pickleball courts. Glenns Valley Nature Park is one of this neighborhood's gems. Walking trails weave through forests and tall-grass prairies where woodpeckers, warblers, wrens and other species roam. The historic house that is located in the park is available to rent.

Glenns Valley students have access to highly-rated schools. The Perry Township school district serves the neighborhood and earns an overall A-minus from Niche. Glenns Valley Elementary is located right in the neighborhood and earns a B-plus. Students can then move on to Perry Meridian Middle and Perry Meridian High, earning an A-minus. Perry Meridian High ranks third on Niche's list of Standout High Schools in Indiana. Glenns Valley is divided into several ungated subdivisions containing homes from the '70s through the early '00s. The southern end of Glenns Valley contains some of the neighborhood's older homes, including many brick ranch-style homes. Many are L-shaped with gabled roofs and attached two-car garages. Many newer homes also have brick facades. They range from modest L-shaped ranches to larger, more elaborate homes with contemporary features like roofs with multiple gables. New or old, many neighborhoods provide sidewalks and lots of tree cover.
For homes around 1,200 square feet, prices start at $200,000. On the higher end, homes around 3,000 square feet cost around $430,000. While inventory is low, the median home price is $250,000, which is on par with the city. "It is a tight but highly accessible market," says Susan Forrest, Realtor with United Real Estate Indianapolis.
