North Issaquah is a Seattle metro neighborhood offering sweeping panoramic views of the Olympic Mountains and easy access to Lake Sammamish State Park. Nestled in the old mining town of Issaquah, the area is home to the headquarters of Costco and is less than 20 miles from downtown Seattle.

Home prices in North Issaquah range from around $500,000 to $2.7 million. North Issaquah is made up of several communities, including Overdale Park, Highgrove Estates, Rivenwood and University House, a retirement community. There are also several apartment, condominium and townhouse complexes. Residential streets heavily feature steep hills complimented with lush vegetation and tall evergreen trees. Driving along the neighborhood roads feels like driving through a dense forest. Single-family home styles run the gamut, including log cabin styles, colonials, ranch styles and modern architecture. Most front lawns are covered with high trees and vegetation to provide residents privacy.

The Issaquah School District serves the community. Neighborhood children can begin schooling at Issaquah Valley Elementary School, with an overall A-minus rating from Niche. Students can then attend Pacific Cascade Middle School, which has an overall A ranking from Niche. For high school, students can attend Issaquah High School. With an overall A-plus rating from Niche, Issaquah High School offers college prep and technical programs, including a dual enrollment college program where students can earn both high school and college credits. Issaquah High is also home to the Evergreen Philharmonic, the country's only multi-school full symphony orchestra.

North Issaquah has easy access to Lake Sammamish. Less than 5 miles away, Lake Sammamish is a freshwater lake where locals can fish, jet ski, row, water ski and more. For locals who prefer land, several trail systems in North Issaquah provide a feasible connection to the popular East Lake Sammamish Trail. The neighborhood is roughly 10 miles north of the Issaquah Alps, a range of highlands with hiking trails and outdoor activities. For a night of performance, locals can go to the Village Theatre in downtown Issaquah. A cozy, local theater, Village Theatre has been putting on plays and musicals like "Once on This Island" and "BEAUTIFUL: The Carole King Musical" since 1979. Issaquah locals gather the first weekend of October every year for the award-winning Issaquah Salmon Days festival. The festival celebrates salmon returning to its birth waters and honors the city's diversity, culture and diversity.

There are several shopping centers in and around North Issaquah. In the neighborhood, locals can grab groceries at Fred Meyer or pick up something quick to eat at a variety of national chain and local fast casual dining places. For more dine-in options, there's Orenji Sushi & Noodles, which bills itself as a Japanese soul food restaurant. Residents can stop by the neighborhood's Home Depot or Best Buy when working on household improvement or enhancement projects. There's a Costco Wholesale less than a mile from North Issaquah for large grocery trips.

Locals can get around by bus and car in North Issaquah. Bus service is provided by King County Metro and Sound Transit. For almost 30 years, the city of Issaquah and King County Metro has offered a free circulator bus between the city's business districts and community centers. By car, locals can hop on Interstate 90 and drive west for 20 miles and be in downtown Seattle.
