Quiet Arlington community
Among the rolling hills and towering oaks in Jacksonville is the appropriately named Hidden Hills. "You're at the border's edge of East Arlington and the beaches. Locals refer to the area as the Intracoastal West. It's a very desirable area to live in," says Cristie Karsten, a Jacksonville native and the owner of Karsten Real Estate Team. The Arlington area has experienced significant growth, resulting in the development of new residences and retail catering to new residents. The Hidden Hills Golf Club and Ed Austin Regional Park take up a large portion of the neighborhood. Locals enjoy a range of outdoor activities, from fishing and boating in the marshlands to golfing at the country club.

Traditional homes, condos and townhomes
Homes sit on well-manicured, grassy lots that are arranged in a grid-like pattern. Streets are lined with cozy bungalows, ranch-style homes and large two-story estates. The community has three distinct sections: Hidden Hill Estates, near the country club, Hidden Hill subdivision and Cobblestone development. Homes overlooking the golf course often have New Traditional styles and are the most recent constructions in the community. These homes typically have a higher price tag than the surrounding developments. The Cobblestone subdivision features more of the late 20th century. The gated Hidden Hills development contains homes from the 1980s to 1990s. Rachel Brumsey of East Coast Realty team says, "Hidden Hills residents enjoy peace and privacy. It's one of the quieter neighborhoods in Arlington, but it's still close to Jacksonville's most popular hubs." Buyers can find an attached home for $200,000 to $375,000. Single-family houses tend to range between $300,000 to $800,000.

Located in the southern region of Hidden Hills is Ed Austin Regional Park, an expansive 144-acre recreational green space. The park includes an off-leash dog park and is home to the Police Athletic League of Jacksonville. Freedom Park honors the rich local history of the indigenous residents of the land, and it is noted as the first marker commemorating members of the Gullah Geechee Community. The park features an 18-hole disc golf course and a dedicated spot for skaters. The Theodore Roosevelt Area at the Timucuan Preserve borders the community to the east. The preserve offers over 600 acres and 5 miles of trails. These marshlands set the stage for viewing native wildlife like waterbirds, armadillos, tortoises and hawks.
