Convenient retail center 7 miles from Downtown
Convenient and well-established, the Regency neighborhood is located 7 miles from Downtown Jacksonville. The community is a part of the historic Arlington region, once occupied by European settlers as early as the 1500s and later the first on-location movie set for the film industry. During the second half of the 20th century, Regency was the go-to area for retail, influencing Arlington's expansion. Since the decline of Regency Square Mall in 2016, the area is no longer the go-to Jacksonville commercial district. However, there are plenty of shopping centers, eateries and grocery outlets for residents’ shopping needs. “This area is remodeling,” says Dina Donets, a Realtor with Brokerage Momentum Realty. “New houses are coming up, there is a new gym and a new gas station.”

Nature surrounds homes
“There are beautiful, big oak trees here,” says Donets. “And it’s so quiet in the morning. I can hear the birds chirping.” Regency may have an active retail scene, but greenery slips between homes, and lots contain lush lawns. Minimal traditional single-family houses feature colonial forms and other revival influences. Modern Colonial Revival and contemporary Spanish Revival style apartment builds can be seen stretched along large parking lots. Homes in the area range from $200,000 to $420,000. Condos and townhouses in the area range in price from $200,000 to $250,000.
