An active neighborhood stationed in the "other" Kansas City
Riverview is an active neighborhood stationed along the Kansas River in Kansas City — no, not that Kansas City. Riverview's Kansas City is Kansas' third-most populous city just across the river from Missouri's bustling metropolis of the same name. Containing acclaimed eateries and a vast selection of local businesses, Riverview is one of the more notable residential communities in the town. "Kansas City is such a big area and has grown. The Kansas state line is right there beyond the Missouri River, so all of that is Kansas City and the downtown Kansas City is actually in Missouri too," says local Realtor Lisa Beckham of United Real Estate Kansas City, who has sold dozens of homes around the Kansas City metropolitan area. "Really, it's just that Kansas City is so big, and our neighboring state is right there, so Kansas City just grew into both Kansas and Missouri. It's all the city of Kansas City, but there's the Kansas side and the Missouri side. It just kind of happened that way from where the city lines are."
