Leafy neighborhood recalls a time when suburbs were new
Bridlespur is a midwestern Brady Bunch neighborhood with spacious single-family homes developed in the 1960s. When residents feel like leaving their cozy residential nest, they can be surrounded by convenient and sometimes unique shopping, dining and entertainment options.
Streets and sidewalks are lined with majestic, mature trees, showcasing large homes on generous lots. Quick access to I-435 allows residents to get anywhere they want in the metro. Downtown K.C. is about 16 miles away.

Tree-lined streets feature large homes with spacious yards
In keeping with the Brady Bunch vibe, Bridlespur’s streets curve into cozy cul-de-sacs where kids can ride bikes and play. Home styles include large single- and two-story ranch-styles, split levels, Colonial Revivals, Cape Cods and homes with tall Mansard roofs. Half-circle driveways create a spaciousness and elegance that accentuate the neighborhood’s exquisite landscaping. Most homes have ample driveways, fenced back yards and garages that accommodate at least two cars.
Prices range from $300,000s to $500,000.
“The Houses are a little older, but they’re in good shape. The school district is good. Prices range from the $300,000s to the $400,000s. The ones in the $300,000s may need work, but those in the $400,000s are redone. There’s a good mixture of choices,” Gary Faler, a Realtor with ReeceNichols-College Blvd., says.
“I don’t live in the neighborhood, but I have clients who do. They like it. Kids go play freely in the street. They can walk,” Faler says. He’s been selling homes in the area for five years.
