Park Forest is 14 miles from Downtown Kansas City

Park Forest enjoys easy access to Kansas 9, Interstate 29, and Interstate 29. “There’s lots of development happening in the area, like the airport just opened in 2023 which is a big deal,” Van Horn says. It is 11 miles from North Kansas City Hospital and positioned about 7 miles south of Kansas City International Airport; residents can easily travel within and beyond. Several RideKC bus stops are available on NW Prairie View Road for public transit users.

Park Forest is just 2 miles from the Shops at Boardwalk, which includes restaurants, Walmart Supercenter, and north of Tiffany Springs Market Center, offering dozens of big-box shopping. The exact distance is Zona Rosa Town Center, an open-air walkable district with art galleries, small boutiques, and lots of bites to eat. The center is the site of The Rink at Zona Rosa, where locals come out for various themed ice-skating festivities. For grub, Smokehouse Barbecue is platting up smoky, baby back rips accompanied by hearty sides, and Bo Lings is the spot for authentic Chinese cuisine.
