Small neighborhood 13 miles north of Downtown Kansas City

Amid the dells of Western Missouri is Royal Oaks North — a suburban community along the northwestern edge of Kansas City. Just 2 miles from Parkville, it is an entirely residential neighborhood where residents are within arm's reach of several parks and well-regarded schools while being close to shopping and dining. With many of its homes built in the mid-to-late 20th century, residents of Royal Oaks North are remodeling, adding modern touches to this quiet neighborhood.

Royal Oaks North is suburban living close to parks and shopping

Undulating valleys form a natural backdrop to the rustic ranches and classic colonial and Tudor homes of Royal Oaks North. "It's a quiet area of Platte County, and that whole area is sprawling rural suburbs," says Sean Van Horn, a Realtor with Exp Realty and host of the YouTube Channel, Living in Kansas City. Forested, hilly and curved roads with sidewalks lead to split-levels with attached two-car garages and medium-sized yards. Many residences were built in the 1960s through the '80s and are receiving renovations. Prices can range from $165,000 for a townhouse starting at 1,300 square feet to $325,000 for a single-family home with nearly 2,500 square feet.

Lovely home with large beautiful backyard (2/3 of an acre ) that resembles your own personal park. Start and end your day next to nature in this home that backs up to the woods, if you listen closely you can hear the running water from the creek that's down below. Fruit trees, raspberry bushes and plenty of native plants to enjoy. 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, with a wood burning fireplace in the living
