Simple suburban living in the greater Houston region
Contained within the city of Katy, Williamsburg is one of the many attractive communities surrounding the Greater Houston region. In proximity to strong schools and a load of entertainment destinations, Williamsburg locals can enjoy a large selection of perks while still being relatively close to the city's action. "It's a big, diverse culture kind of like Houston — it kind of blends over to that," says local Realtor Jared Greenberg of Keller Williams Premier, who grew up in the area and has sold dozens of homes around Houston. "It has a little bit more of a small-town feel than Houston, but it's growing, and it's definitely not a small town anymore."
The neighborhood boasts a mix of housing styles, including Tudor, Victorian, and ranch homes.Wil
Williamsburg, a vibrant area, epitomizes the spirit of Houston's thriving neighborhood.

Various subdivisions contain a wide variety of architectural styles
Williamsburg contains several subdivisions and offers a wide variety of architectural home styles. On the northern side, Williamsburg Colony primarily contains smaller ranch-style homes while larger Tudor-style and Victorian-inspired homes can be found on the southside in Williamsburg Settlement. A smaller home will often price between $175,000 and $300,000 while larger 3,000-square-foot properties can range from $300,000 to upwards of $500,000. Homes in the area often sell within one to two months of their initial listing. "The homes north of Franz Road are older, but the homes south of Franz Road are much bigger," Greenberg says. "If people are moving from places like California or New York or places that are more expensive than Katy, they want a nice house. They can buy more house than they could've in where they're coming from."
Williamsburg's ranch-style residences reflect a blend of historic charm and contemporary living.
Williamsburg's Victorian homes showcase intricate detailing and vibrant colors.
With tree-lined streets and well-maintained lawns, Williamsburg exudes a charming suburban feel.

Locals often gather the kids for an afternoon at the playground while the park's 2.6-mile walking trail is cherished among neighborhood cyclists and joggers. Callegari Park is another local favorite, especially for children, thanks to its musical playground and vibrant frog statues. Locals can also gather the family for a night at Times Square — an entertainment center containing a bowling alley, pool tables and a sports bar. Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is another nearby attraction for competitive thrill-seekers while Typhoon Texas Waterpark attracts guests from across town during the year's warmer months.

Home Run Dugout is a popular baseball-themed eatery that offers live entertainment, simulated hitting bays and a mini baseball diamond. Sports lovers can also go to Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux to order wings while watching the big game with friends. Walk-On's sits just down the street from JCPenney while additional retail stores can be found off the Katy Freeway at Katy Mills, which contains dozens of boutiques and restaurants. For fresh groceries, locals often stop by Kroger off the Grand Parkway, though the weekly Farmers Market on Grand Parkway is another big draw for its locally grown fruits and veggies.

Centrally located, Williamsburg offers easy access to major highways and commercial hubs.
Easy access to highways
Williamsburg locals will likely need a car to get around town, especially with limited public transportation options to choose from. Williamsburg does offer excellent road and highway access, though, with the Grand Parkway running straight through the neighborhood and the Katy Freeway serving as its southern border. Sitting 26 miles west of Houston, locals working downtown can expect to get to the city in roughly 30 minutes, though traffic can be heavy.
