Urban lifestyle in suburban area next to Downtown Kent
Situated next to downtown Kent, Scenic Hill provides an urban lifestyle with a suburban feel. The primarily residential area is close to the various international cuisines that make up the heart of Kent’s culture. “That area is pretty diverse, just like most areas around SeaTac,” says David Glenn, real estate broker at Coldwell Banker Danforth. Downtown is also home to Kent Station, a popular shopping and dining corridor. The neighborhood has plentiful green space on the eastern and southern sides, full of parks, trails and creeks where residents can connect with Kent's natural scenery and have an active lifestyle.

1950s ramblers and bi-levels with similar exteriors
Scenic Hill is mainly made up of single-family homes. While the area is closer to downtown, it has suburban traits like homes with similar exteriors, tall trees, garages and driveways. Despite its downtown proximity, most people rely on cars to get around because of the neighborhood’s lack of sidewalks. Homes north of Maple Street are ramblers, split-levels and tri-levels built from the 1950s to the early 2000s. Prices range from $440,000 to $790,000. Homes south of Scenic Hill Park tend to be larger and have private patios and mountain views. These are more contemporary two-stories and tri-level homes. Prices range from $550,000 to $1 million.
