Historic homes and brand-new townhomes
From midcentury ranches and split-level homes to grand stone and brick mansions on estate lots, Bearden’s home selection appeals to many homebuyers. Smaller homes on the west side of town are abundant on hilly, tree-lined streets. Many are newly built duplexes. “Almost all the homes in Bearden are historic homes,” Brock says, with “many constructions starting in the 1920s.” Home prices have an extensive range, and one and two-bedroom condos can go for around $170,000 to $400,000, while newer three to four-bedroom townhouses and ranch styles often fall between $400,000 and $600,000. Some lakeside properties can cost more than $1 million.

Bearden public schools
Bearden public schools are highly ranked in Knox County. Students can start at Bearden Elementary School, which receives an A-minus rating on Niche. They then can move on to Bearden Middle School and Bearden High School, both of which earn a B-plus rating. Bearden High is also committed to providing all students with an outstanding education with over 50 advanced academic courses, including dual credit and dual enrollment courses, as well as Advanced Placement (AP) courses for grades 11 and 12 and pre-AP courses for grades 9 and 10.

Lakeshore Park

Shopping and dining reign supreme in Bearden. The West Town Mall is the hub of activity on the west side. Interstate 40 and Kingston Pike
Less than 10 miles from Downtown Knoxville, Bearden is a quick and easy drive to the city. Residents have highways and surface streets available for commuting, and most residents travel by car. On the neighborhood's north side is Interstate 40, traveling east to west across the city of Knoxville. Running through the center of Bearden is Kingston Pike, Bearden’s main artery and hub for shopping, dining and entertainment.
