Mechanicsville homeowners can live in pieces of history
Older and historic shotgun homes from the early 1900s line the streets of Mechanicsville. Many have been renovated to give residents modern amenities while still preserving the history of the home. Future homeowners can also find three-bedroom bungalows with wide porches and small yards. Because homes with garages aren’t common, most residents park on uncovered driveways or in the street. Home prices can range from $100,000 to $300,000. Homes spend about a week on the market before new residents purchase them. Most residents are renters, but there are opportunities for investors and future homeowners.
