An older neighborhood with a youthful spirit
The Village of Hacienda was developed in the mid-1990s and is one of The Villages’s oldest neighborhoods. However, that doesn’t mean this community is stuck in the past. Like other neighborhoods in Central Florida’s vast 55-plus master-planned community, it is consistently updated with new amenities. One of the latest changes is the addition of the Cordoba Recreation Center, which opened in early 2024 and became the 116th recreation center in The Villages.
Morse Boulevard provides easy access to amenities for the Village of Hacienda.

The new Cordoba Recreation Center offers pickleball and a family pool
Cordoba Recreation offers pickleball courts, a putting green, and a family pool, a perk for visiting family members too young to use the adults-only pools, which are reserved for those 30 and older. "Your granddaughter can be 22 years old, she still can’t go to an adult-only pool,” says Karen Kamperman, a real estate agent with Keller Williams Cornerstone Realty and a resident of The Villages. Golf enthusiasts tee off at Hacienda Hills Golf and Country Club, one of The Villages’ many 27-hole championship courses, located inside the neighborhood, or they can practice their short game at any of the nine-hole executive courses nearby, including Mira Mesa, Silver Lake and De La Vista.

Two and three bedroom homes with lanais and garages
The homes in Hacienda are a mix of New Traditional styles, built in the late 1990s and featuring two or three bedrooms. They come in various floorplans with names like Catalina and Vera Cruz and feature backyard lanais. Two-car garages are standard, and most have room to park a golf cart, a common method of transportation around The Villages. Hacienda Hills Golf Course surrounds the neighborhood, so most homes have views of the fairways. While most homes feature neatly manicured small lawns, corner lots often feature larger lawns and extra privacy. Prices range from the low $300,000s to the mid $400,000s.

A short golf cart ride from Spanish Springs
Hacienda is next door to Spanish Springs, one of The Villages' walkable town squares and where most residents go for nights out. Spanish Springs is the oldest of the town squares, having opened in 1994, but offers just as many things to do as the newer ones. It features many restaurant options, including local chains like Flippers Pizzeria and Bella Vita Italian Steakhouse. After dinner, residents can window shop along the walkable streets at a handful of clothing and gift shops, then head to the middle of the square for live music and dancing. Or they can take in live theater, classical music or ballet at The Sharon Performing Arts Center, a 1,000-seat theater with shows nearly every day of the year. Publix sits next to Spanish Springs, where many residents pick up groceries. Also nearby are several medical offices, including the UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital, as well as another Publix location, several banks and two churches.
Flipper's Pizzeria is a local favorite for Village of Hacienda residents, just minutes away.

Route 441 and Florida's Turnpike are nearby
Most residents opt to travel by golf cart throughout The Villages. For longer trips, they hop in the car and take U.S. Route 441 or Florida's Turnpike, major highways just outside the neighborhood. Both roads lead to Orlando, which is about 60 miles away and has an international airport.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
