Community rich in convenience and character
Bursting with plant life and community character, Pineapple Beach pairs suburban convenience with tropical vibes. “The proximity to the beach is a huge draw, and a lot of people walk or bike over there,” says Lisa Treu, founder and real estate agent with Treu Group Real Estate, who has 15 years of experience selling in South Florida. Walkability to a neighborhood school, parks and a bustling downtown scene add to the appeal. “It’s a very laid-back area that exudes an old-school South Florida feel,” says Treu.

Homes with flair and tropical flora
Houses in this area tend to mimic the styles seen throughout much of coastal Florida, like low, long ranch houses and beach bungalows. While the styles are consistent, many homes have their own flair with a colorful exterior or Mediterranean-inspired roofline. Larger, two-story models are interspersed throughout Pineapple Beach, generally the multi-tiered stucco exterior and clay-tiled roofs of Spanish styles. Many homes feature one-car garages or short, paved driveways for off-street parking. While yards are modest, typically below a quarter acre, homeowners take full advantage of the space with lush greenery, large palms or sprawling banyan trees. A two-bedroom property here is generally listed for $270,000 to $350,000. The highest price points reach $425,000 to $570,000 for a three-bedroom house with modern updates. While rare, duplex and triplex options in Pineapple Beach are priced from $599,000 to $795,000.
Parks with views of Lake Worth Lagoon
Lake Worth Lagoon, part of Florida’s Intracoastal Waterway, is less than a mile from the neighborhood. Nearby public access points like Bryant Park make it easy to eat lunch by the waterside or launch a boat for a day on the water. The park also has a playground and waterfront trails. The waterway is a popular spot for fishing and home to all kinds of native wildlife like manatees, dolphins and many species of birds. Pineapple Beach is also just two miles from the shores of Lake Worth Beach. Driving two miles in the opposite direction will lead to the outdoor oasis that is John Prince Park. Wander through the green space spanning more than 700 acres to find basketball, pickleball, and tennis courts, playgrounds for kids of different ages, a nature trail and a dog park. Golfers will also have prime access to the course at Lake Worth Beach Golf Club. The public 18-hole course has a rich history in the city, dating back to the 1920s, and offers waterfront views.

Streets of Lake Worth Beach come to life
Like much of Lake Worth Beach, the Pineapple Beach area has an active neighborhood association. Residents gather for block parties or join in on city-wide events like the annual Veterans Day Parade or Palm Beach Pride, often sporting pineapple-themed gear. One of Lake Worth Beach’s most popular events is the annual Street Painting Festival. More than 400 artists come out to create incredible artwork on the streets of downtown Lake Worth. Using only chalk, these temporary murals transform the roads into a walkable gallery, where visitors can watch the artists work in real-time, all while enjoying musical performances, food vendors and the palpable atmosphere of creativity.
Laid back eateries along Lake and Lucerne
Pineapple Beach is almost entirely residential but is in a prime spot to access the dining and shopping options lining Lake and Lucerne avenues in downtown Lake Worth Beach. “Virtually all of the restaurants have outdoor patios and are on the smaller side, so they feel more intimate and cozier,” says Treu. Seafood is on the menu at Dave’s Last Resort, a casual raw bar lined with TVs. Locals can meet for a cup of joe at South Beach Coffee Co. or enjoy live music while sipping cocktails at Igot’s Martiki Bar. Traveling less than a half-mile north along Dixie Highway leads to a Publix Super Market for groceries.
