Sweeping views, no stress
With sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains, Lakewood’s Glennon Heights offers residents a soothing suburban experience without stressing their wallets. “It’s not one of the newer areas, but there are nicely maintained and interesting homes,” says Jesse Lynch, owner of the Welcome To Denver real estate team and host of a local YouTube channel. Just 10 miles southwest of Denver, Glennon Heights is the kind of neighborhood where "kids go to school together and neighbors hang out in the park together," says Lynch. With gently sloping streets and a welcoming, family-friendly community, Glennon Heights offers home buyers a calm, residential environment with easy access to shopping, dining and outdoor recreation nearby.

More affordable for just as much space
On average, homes in Glennon Heights are about $35,000 less than those in the surrounding Lakewood area "but still offer just as much space, which is a major draw for the area," says Lynch. “It’s also not cookie-cutter; every home looks different.” Properties come in a variety of styles, from town houses to split-level and ranch-style homes. Most of these single-family homes were built around 1960 and list between $400,000 and $600,000, depending on their size and upkeep. For over $1 million, newly constructed six-bedroom homes are also available and offer up to 4,000 square feet.
