Richfield offers affordable homes and proximity to Las Vegas attractions

Major casinos and notable Las Vegas restaurants are a few blocks away from the modest homes of Richfield. “Richfield is pretty affordable, close to the Strip, close to downtown, too,” says Lane Holmes, a local realtor at Properties Plus Referral Network with over 30 years of real estate experience in Las Vegas. Much of the community grew out of Las Vegas's development boom from the mid-20th century onwards. Suburban streets give way to major commercial thoroughfares, offering a range of national and local establishments. Workers on the Strip or locals looking to spend the day shopping have a short commute thanks to Richfield's proximity to the Las Vegas Freeway.

Shopping at Marianas and the Fashion Show, Dinner on Sahara Avenue and in the Strip

Locals won't have to go far to shop for essentials, thanks to Las Vegas grocery stores like Mariana's Supermarket on the corner of Valley View Boulevard and Sahara Avenue. Customers have access to a wide range of Hispanic products, fresh meat and produce, as well as a delicatessen and a butcher. Groceries and pharmaceuticals are also available in larger franchise markets like Smith's, just west of Cashman Park. The community is home to The Egg & I, a Las Vegas breakfast establishment on Sahara Avenue that features a pun-filled menu of American breakfast and lunch staples. One of the main draws of Richfield is its proximity to The Strip, where locals can browse fashion boutiques at the Fashion Show Shopping Mall. There are also a range of fine dining restaurants, like El Dorado Cantina, which serves elevated Mexican favorites in a colorful dining space along Sammy Davis Jr. Drive.

Humble ranch-style houses and townhome communities

Richfield's residential landscape features an even split between single-family houses and a collection of townhomes and condos. Most of the houses in Richfield are L-shaped ranch-style homes built in the mid-to-late 20th century. Lot sizes are at most a fifth of an acre, though dwellings with a large driveway or a small pool in the backyard are common. Some homes may need renovating, while others feature updated interiors and amenities. Most of Richfield's townhomes are found in Quail Estates West, a community for ages 55 and older with a central clubhouse, a pool and gated access included on its list of amenities. Home prices range from $150,000 for homes needing a little T.L.C. and can go up to $450,000 for newly renovated townhouses or ranch-style homes.
