Resort-style community around beautiful turquoise lake
Resort-style homes surround a striking artificial lake in the community of The Lakes. Since its development began in the 1980s, the community has attracted boating enthusiasts, anglers, and people who enjoy lakefront views. “It used to be way out there, now it’s a part of the city proper. Beautiful lakefront properties, plus it’s pretty close to the Strip,” says Lane Holmes, a local realtor with Properties Plus Referral Network with over 30 years of experience selling homes in the area. Locals are minutes away from sprawling national parks to the west and the glitz and glamor of the Vegas Strip to the east.
The Lakes is just west of The Las Vegas Strip.

Townhomes and condos range from $250,000 to $325,000, while single-family houses are priced from $500,000 to as much as $3.0 million dollars.

Scenic walkways and green spaces around the lake
The Lakes residential streets are lined with pathways that local joggers and cyclists can use to exercise or for a leisurely stroll along the waters of Lake Sahara. Homes along the lakefront often have access to the lake through private docks, and the community's central clubhouse also acts as the local boat club. The lake is stocked with bluegill, largemouth bass and other fish for local anglers to reel in. The sparkling turquoise waters of Lake Sahara provide locals with plenty of opportunities to beat the desert heat. Lake Sahara South Park offers a small green space and a paved walking trail that overlooks the lake. On the other side of West Sahara Avenue is the Canyon Gate Country Club, home to 160 acres of rolling fairways around tranquil lagoons.
