An established enclave receiving new life
With an elementary school, Fort Sill and several retail and dining choices close by, Crosby Park is a Lawton neighborhood people gravitate to. So even though the homes here were built in the 1960s and 1970s, this area is considered up and coming, says James Lengele, a local Realtor with Coldwell Banker Salute. “Where people are doing renovations on homes in that neighborhood because the values are good so the return for them is good,” Lengele says. Options on the market here sell after just about two weeks on average, much quicker than the national average.

Homes have been handled with care
A lot of the houses around Crosby Park are single-story ranch-style options with attached garages, but there are some multi-story floor plans here and there. Homes mainly stretch between 1,200 and 1,900 square feet, and many were built in the 1960s and 1970s. The majority of these houses are owner-occupied, but there are some rentals, too, Lengele says. Properties come with lots of around one-fifth of an acre. Homes sell for between $100,000 and $200,000. There are a lot of military families in the neighborhood with Fort Sill just a 5-mile trip, says Lengele, who served 25 years in the military before transitioning to real estate.
