A community in the middle of the action
Located in Central Florida's premier 55-plus master-planned community, the Village of Fernandina is surrounded by golf courses and enjoys easy access to three popular recreational centers, each offering a wealth of activities. Plus, Brownwood Paddock, one of the community’s bustling town squares, is only about 4 miles away. “It’s like Disneyland for adults,” says Michael Vanek, a real estate agent with Florida Homes Realty & Mortgage who sells throughout Florida. "You'll have people playing pickleball at 6:00 a.m. and then dancing in the squares at night."

A mix of two and three bedroom homes
Fernandina's homes are a mix of two- and three-bedroom Designer-style builds from 2012. They sit close on narrow lots that offer just enough space for petite front yards and patios in the back. Two-car garages are standard, with additional space for golf carts. Prices range from the high $200,000s to the high $500,000s, with more expensive homes boasting recent renovations. Front yards are landscaped, sporting small palm trees, shrubs and flowers. While there are no sidewalks along the streets, there is plenty of space for residents to ride bikes, jog and walk their dogs.

Residents get around via golf cart, Florida's Turnpike
Because so many people live in The Villages – there are about 150,000 total residents there and counting – traffic can be challenging between neighborhoods, so many residents opt to travel by golf cart. To get outside The Villages, they hop in the car and head to State Route 44 or Florida’s Turnpike, located just outside the neighborhood. These roads connect to Orlando, about 55 miles away.
Village of Fernandina residents get lined up at Bonifay Country Club to get out on the course.
