A social hub and family community
A neighborhood with convenient access to jobs, shopping and natural recreation, Olentangy is a popular area north of Columbus, Ohio. There’s an active presence in the community, with online groups and events held at various restaurants and parks. “You always see people out walking, riding their bikes, and you regularly see children playing,” says Myra Williamson, Realtor with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services. Several shopping plazas and a large metro park provide plenty of activities and J.P Morgan Chase is nearby as the largest employer for the neighborhood. Proximity to Columbus allows for the perks of the city while keeping a quiet suburban environment.

Three subdivisions of affordable houses
Olentangy's wide suburban streets and maintained sidewalks are lined with vinyl-sided Tudor and contemporary-style homes. Most properties are around a quarter to a half-acre in size. Prices generally fall between $200,000 and $500,000. Sidewalks line each of the three subdivisions in the area, creating a walkable space with plenty of room to push strollers. The Village at Olentangy Meadows is on the western part of Olentangy, with homes ranging from $270,000 to $340,000. Another subdivision is Olentangy Meadows, priced at $350,000 to over $400,000, and the Woods of Olentangy makes up the third subdivision with older homes still priced in the mid $300,000 to over $400,000.

Miles of walking trails at Highbanks Metro Park
There are plenty of paths to walk within the neighborhood, but there are limited spaces for parks and recreation facilities. The 1200-acre Highbanks Metro Park seems to make up for that with seven walking trails, including a two-mile trail leading to an Olentangy River overlook. It also has a playground, a nature center and cross-country skiing trails to explore.
The park has seven trails, including the Overlook, which takes you over two miles.
