Suburban living along Harrodsburg Road
Lakeside views and tree-lined streets welcome residents to Firebrook. This southwestern Lexington community is known for its charming estates and easy access to urban amenities. With Harrodsburg Road on its eastern border, the community stays connected. “Harrodsburg is the main street Firebrook feeds off of,” says Robin Owens, Real Estate Agent at Kirkpatrick & Company. “It’s quite busy and goes straight into Downtown.” Aside from easy commutes, Firebrook also offers residents a community clubhouse complete with a pool and a playground. From afar, neighbors can be seen fishing on the community's private lake, or cheering on the Firebrook Firefish swim team in the summers. “It has sidewalks on both sides of the street, which is really nice so residents can walk around to visit neighbors or get some exercise,” adds Owens. With an A-rated school district, a sense of seclusion and a quick 7-mile commute to Downtown, Firebrook continues to ignite interest.

Ramblers and New Traditional estates
The real estate market in Firebrook is competitive due to its highly rated school district and above-average lot sizes. “In terms of market dynamics, it remains competitive,” says Kush Rathod, Realtor with Lifestyle Real Estate. “Inventory is low, but sold-price ratios indicate buyers are still submitting offers either close or right at list price.” Most homes were built between the 1990s and early 2000s and feature rambler, Colonial Revival and New Traditional styles, with dark brick tones contrasting the area's green lawns. Homes here often feature mid-sized lawns, multi-car garages and paved driveways. With a median sales price of $500,000, homes are priced nearly $200,000 more than the average property in the Lexington metro area. For example, prices start around $200,000 for a three-bedroom rambler and can reach upwards of $800,000 for a five-bedroom New Traditional with amplee acreage. Outliers here, which feature more than half an acre of land, often sell for higher prices and can reach upwards of $1.2 million. Homeowners here should note that Firebrook residents must also pay an annual $750 HOA fee, which maintains amenities like the clubhouse, community pool and private fishing lake.
