A mix of old and new in the heart of Lindale
Much of Downtown Lindale is anchored by Route 69. On either side of the four-lane highway is a mix of refurbished older buildings and new business developments, evidence of Lindale’s growth over the past decade. It's home to landmarks like the Lindale Candy Company, which has been selling handmade confections for 75 years. There's also the Pink Pistol, a boutique opened in 2013 by musician Miranda Lambert, a Lindale native, along with other shopping and dining options. Vintage homes dot the neighborhood's west side. This old-school, small-town charm is what appeals to the city’s roughly 6,000 residents. “Lindale’s just a really cute, rural community,” says Maribel Cantu, a Realtor with Fathom Realty who sells throughout East Texas.

Most shopping and dining along Route 69
Downtown Lindale offers two Brookshire’s locations for groceries and CVS for essentials, plus churches and services like banks, gas stations and salons, most along Route 69. Along the aptly named Miranda Lambert Way is Pink Pistol, a gift and clothing boutique owned by musician and Lindale native Miranda Lambert. Pink Pistol is part of The Cannery, a larger retail, dining and residence development that includes Texas Music City Grill & Smokehouse, a favorite for its steaks and live music. Residents head to Lindale Candy Company for sweet treats, including vintage hand-pulled peppermints or takes on viral TikTok confections. Two medical centers are located just outside the neighborhood. UT Health Clinic is about three miles away and offers basic medical care. CHRISTUS Emergency Care Center is the closest emergency room and is also about three miles away.

Ranch and Minimal Traditional style homes on quiet streets
Downtown Lindale’s few homes are concentrated along the neighborhood’s west side, while the east side is dedicated to commercial and light industrial businesses. Most homes are small ranch-style and cottage-style, built between 1950 and 1970 and featuring brick facades. Short driveways lead to one- or two-car garages, and lawns are dotted with mature trees. More trees flank many of the roadways, and while sidewalks are limited in the residential parts of the neighborhood, residents can walk to nearby retailers and services. Residents tend to stay put when they move in, so houses don't often on the market. But when they do, prices vary widely.
