It has Frisco ISD schools, which are highly sought-after, but it's a lower price point than the rest of Frisco," says local Realtor Laura Morin with RE/MAX DFW Associates, who sells houses in the area.

Easter Celebrations at EggsTravaganza

The Sunset Pointe Homeowners Association oversees this Little Elm neighborhood, maintaining its warm and friendly environment amidst its growth. The association is managed by a board of directors and a management company. Within the HOA, various committees are appointed for architecture, welcoming new neighbors, and organizing social events. Throughout the year, residents come together to create lasting memories during events such as the EggsTravaganza at Easter and the Holiday Festival in December.

Summer activities at Dawn Mist Park

Residents of Sunset Pointe have multiple parks nearby for some outdoor recreation. Dawn Mist Park is a small neighborhood greenspace with a swimming pool and splash pad for the whole family to cool off from the Texas sun. The park also had a playground, two half-court basketball courts and a roller hockey rink. Several walking trails throughout the neighborhood provide residents with spots for relaxing along the water or through open grassy areas. On the shores of Lake Lewisville, The Lakefront™ at Little Elm is a beach and entertainment destination where summertime beckons for swimming, boating and fishing. "It's not far from Frisco, which has everything. We have all the eateries and the mall. We have FC Dallas and the Frisco RoughRidgers. We also have lots of sports," says Morin. Toyota Stadium, home of Major League Soccer's FC Dallas, is just a 7-mile drive from the neighborhood. The new Omni PGA Frisco Resort is even closer to home. This large golf-centric resort has several shops and restaurants, two 18-hole courses, a 10-hole par-3 course, and multiple driving ranges.

Split between Frisco ISD and Little Elm ISD

Sunset Pointe is split between the Frisco Independent School District and the Little Elm Independent School District. Students in the Little Elm district might attend Lakeview Elementary School, Lowell H. Strike Middle School and Little Elm High School, home to the Lobo Collegiate Academy. Through this program, students can earn up to 50 college credits while in high school through a partnership with North Central Texas College. All these Little Elm ISD schools earn a B-plus rating, according to Niche. Students in the Frisco district might attend A-rated Robertson Elementary School, B-minus-ranked Stafford Middle School and Lone Star High School. Lone Star High School receives an A overall and serves approximately 2,100 students.

Sunset Pointe residents typically commute by car, as no public transit is available. Farm to Market Road 423 runs along the community's eastern edge, while Rockhill Parkway bisects the neighborhood. Access to Highway 380 and the Dallas North Tollway makes commuting to Dallas, located 36 miles south, convenient for residents, taking less than an hour by car.
