Conveniently located suburban community
Pike sits along the outskirts of Longmont, with rolling farmland to the south and the rest of the city in the north. Left Hand Creek flows through the area, separating an industrial section in the northeast from its suburban streets. Additionally, Pike’s proximity to Hover Street puts it close to an abundance of shopping and dining. “The area is really special. You’ve got quality schools, a lot of nature trails and a wide variety of price ranges,” says Real Estate Broker Robert Campbell with Armor Real Estate, who has over 25 years of experience. “Dependent on where you want to be, there are a lot of tech-savvy jobs available. A lot of people work from home now, and the city of Longmont has really nice internet access.”

Contemporary single-family homes
Homes in Pike are lined along residential streets with manicured, grassy lawns and driveways leading to attached garages. “There are a lot of different price ranges in the neighborhood, and it's affordable compared to the Boulder area,” Campbell says. Contemporary Craftsman homes built in the 1990s are popular, with pointed roofs, front gables and stone or brick accents. These properties span 3,000 to 4,800 square feet and cost $850,000 to $1.2 million. Multi-story modern farmhouses with front porches and picture windows from the 2000s are also a common sight. These homes are 1,200 to 3,000 square feet and priced $450,00 to $950,000, depending on property size. A handful of traditional bungalows in the neighborhood go for $700,000 to $750,000.
Closer to the industrial area of the neighborhood, in the northwest, are multi-story traditional townhouses. These properties span 1,200 to 1,800 square feet and cost from $450,000 to $550,000.

There are also walking trails along the creek. “The nature trails have a lot of foot traffic, and people can also ride their bikes. The neighborhood sees a lot of weekend and afternoon activity,” Campbell says. A little over a mile north of the area, Kanemoto Park provides additional recreation, including a picnic area and paved paths with outdoor fitness equipment scattered throughout. The park is known for its Tower of Compassion structure, which mimics a traditional Japanese pagoda to honor the original owners of the land.
