The five-year grant provides funding up to 5% of the home’s sales price. In 10 years, the loan is forgivable, meaning borrowers don’t have to pay it back unless the home is sold or refinanced. Philadelphia is a 25-minute drive from Feasterville, so Eagles and Phillies fans can easily get into the city to watch their favorite teams. The Cap Index crime score for the area is a 3 out of 10, lower than the national average of 4. Medical care is very accessible in the neighborhood — 25 hospitals and medical centers are nearby.

The Neshaminy School District serves the community of Feasterville. Students from the neighborhood attend Joseph Ferderbar Elementary, Poquessing Middle, and Neshaminy High Schools. The schools’ Niche grades are B-plus, B and B-plus respectively. Public School Review places the high school in the top 20% of public schools. It also features some of the greatest athletics programs in the state, ranking among the top 50 Pennsylvania high schools for athletes, according to Penn Live. "The football games are a blast," recalls Packer, "and the stadium erupts to cheer on the Skins." "It gets really intense during rival week against Pennsbury." Nearly 20 colleges and universities are near the area, including Arcadia University.

While residential neighborhoods provide a lovely and cozy ambiance, you're never far from busy major streets with plenty of shopping and dining alternatives. "The area features numerous locally owned shops, giving it the small-town character," says Packer. "My absolute favorite is Mama Russo's Pizzeria. Nino's Honeyroni Pizza is to die for." Along with Mama Russo's, you'll discover mom-and-pop establishments throughout town. Longenbach says her go-to bar is the Fireside Inn adding that it’s “always crowded.” Guy's Bicycles on Street Road has been serving the community since 1971, offering various bikes and repair services. Continue down Street Road or any of the other main roads, and you'll come across multiple shopping centers stocked with everything you need, including retailers, grocery stores, restaurants, and more. “If you live there, you don’t have to leave Bucks County,” says Longenbach. Neshaminy Mall, located just three miles away in Bensalem, has hundreds of retailers and a big AMC Theater where you can see the latest movies.

Feasterville, located just outside of Northwest Philadelphia, is an ideal commuter destination. The city is only a short distance away, whether for business or pleasure. Those heading to Center City can get there by driving 20 miles or taking SEPTA's commuter rail line. There are four bus stops and two subway stations in Feasterville.
