A rural outpost in jam-packed Palm Beach County
Drive into Loxahatchee Groves from nearby villages like Royal Palm Beach and Wellington, and the difference is immediate. This town has a distinctly rustic makeup, trading packed subdivisions for acreage and tranquility. Lots here are often five times the size they are across much of the rest of the region, says Robert Sinofsky, a local Realtor and investor with All Coast Property Group, LLC. In turn, this is a place for people looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the rest of South Florida.

Land is a common denominator in Loxahatchee Groves
Most of the lots in this area are around an acre and a half, says Sinofsky. Properties here sometimes stretch several acres. "This is really the only place where you can get parcels of land in this area of Florida," says Jack Bluestein, a local Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty who has 20 years of experience in the industry. Some use the land here for horse ranches. This is a major area for equestrian enthusiasts — neighboring Wellington is considered the equestrian capital of the world. Others utilize their acreage for plant farms, Sinofsky says, growing everything from palm trees to garden trees. Or the lot sizes here can simply provide some space to breathe in relation to neighbors. “It’s not for everyone for sure,” says Sinofsky, who has more than 16 years of industry experience. “But it does draw people to it. It does have a lot of benefits that you don’t really find anywhere in South Florida.”
The homes that dot Loxahatchee Groves’ land were largely built from 1970 to 2010, a mix of modest cottages and ranch-style options, and more expansive custom builds. Some houses here under 2,000 square feet start with prices in the $400,000s. The biggest homes in the area, pushing past 4,000 square feet and standing on several acres, can sell for more than $1 million. Loxahatchee Groves’ crime score is significantly better than the national average, too, according to the CAP Index.

I have lived here for my entire life. There is very little to do and everything is far away. A good place to live if you're retired with pets and don't enjoy going out.

Very quiet and not too far from the city. The people are extremely attentive and friendly wherever you go.

Alothough it is so far from many stores, the openness is so peaceful. The view of the night sky is breathtaking, you'd never see something like that in the city.

I like the conservative outlook in trying to preserve nature and keep the city life out. I like that it is not heavily over populated and hope it stays that way. What I do not like is the dirt roads do not get filled up fast enough. The holes get pretty deep.
