An established neighborhood 10 miles south of downtown Lubbock

Set on quiet residential streets and lined with tall trees and well-maintained sidewalks, Kings Gate has been a residential refuge in the city of Lubbock for decades. “A lot of the homes over there are larger, so they have bigger lots. And they have the big trees that people love,” says Jennifer Busbea, a former resident and broker associate at Halley Road Real Estate. The neighborhood is close to shops and restaurants while remaining a secluded enclave east of bustling County Road 2330.

Brick ranches and traditional single-story homes

Kings Gate is an established neighborhood mostly populated with homes built in the 1980s and 1990s. “It’s charming and traditional,” Busbea says. “A lot of the homes in Kings Gate, you’re not going to find the same floor plan elsewhere. They’re one of a kind.” Single-story and ranch-style homes with masonry siding and two-car garages sit on spacious wooded lots. Some homes have nods to traditional and Craftsman-style architecture with columns, double-gabled roofs and bay windows. A brick single-story home under 3,000 square feet can range from $250,000 to $500,000, while homes with additional space can range from $500,000 to $600,000.
