Park-filled neighborhood with walkable schools 15 minutes from downtown Madison
Between the shores of Lake Mendota and the Cherokee Marsh wetlands surrounding the Yahara River, Sherman Village is a sunny Madison suburb less than 6 miles from downtown. Comprised of an array of ranch-style homes built in the 1950s and ‘60s, Sherman Village is an established neighborhood with solid roots. “All of Madison's older North Side neighborhoods have great communities,” says Lindsey Cooper, a Madison resident and Realtor with Lauer Realty Group. With tree-lined streets, two schools within walking distance and plenty of neighborhood parks, this area is especially popular with families or anyone who wants the quiet of the suburbs with the proximity of the city.
