Residents can head to downtown Manchester for additional bars and restaurants. “We have a good scene of craft cocktail-type, small little venues,” says Jodie Nazaka, Director of Economic Development in Manchester. “They have that speakeasy vibe, where you can get a craft cocktail that’s almost a work of art because of the amount of work and ingredients that go into it.” Nearby grocery options include Market Basket, just north of the neighborhood.

Taco Tours and Sky Shows
With the Bakersville community situated so close to downtown Manchester, residents can participate in the numerous events held in the heart of the city. In May, the community is home to Taco Tour. “We shut down our downtown, and we have almost 100 businesses participating; they all create their own unique $3.00 taco,” Nazaka says. Sky Show, a major concert each August, includes food, games and some of the largest fireworks presentations in New Hampshire.
