Connected residential district of Manchester
Less than three blocks from the heart of Manchester, the Corey Square community offers dense residential living. Because the area's angular streets are tightly packed, residents have parks, local businesses and a high school all within walking distance. In addition, there is nearby downtown access and a country club to the east. “It’s very affordable there, and it’s close to downtown,” says Realtor Alex Lachance with East Key Realty, who is a former resident of Corey Square. “Just walk one block from the neighborhood and you’re pretty much downtown where all the nightlife and restaurants are.”
Multi-family homes and Foursquare homes
The majority of the housing options in the Corey Square community are multi-unit or multi-family properties, most of which were constructed in the early 1900s. Many are Boston triple-deckers or American Foursquare single-family homes that have been converted into multi-family residences. Area homes commonly sit on narrow lots, so residents may have space for small, outdoor gardens. Prices tend to range from around $300,000 to about $900,000, depending on bedroom number and unit count.

Local restaurants in Corey Square
While there are award-winning dining options in downtown Manchester, Corey Square also has some favorite spots, including Bagel Café. The café is known for fresh, in-house bagels but also offers a number of breakfast sandwiches and drinks. “In my opinion, Bagel Café has the best bagels in New Hampshire,” Lachance says. Residents can also stop by the centrally located Pizza by Rocco, which serves hot and fresh Italian-style pizzas and subs. There are mainstream classics, like buffalo chicken pizza and cheesesteaks, and gourmet custom pies, like their “La Pizza Mistica” with ricotta and sausage topped with balsamic drizzle and basil. Z & J Market is a small grocery store where people can pick up essential ingredients, and the nearby Saigon Asian Market sells many international products.

Each May, residents can attend the Taco Tour, where over 90 different restaurants create tacos that cost only $3 apiece. The day is full of music and drinks from a variety of restaurants, and the event attracts more than 20,000 people each year. Residents can also head downtown to Glendi, an annual Greek Festival held in September with dozens of Greek food vendors and an Aegean Market with jewelry and home goods.
