The Isles of Capri is a neighborhood of luxury homes in Southwest Florida created in the 1950s when developers dredged and connected four mangrove islands to create a secluded enclave for permanent residents and second-home owners who wanted to live close to the clear waters and protected harbors. “We basically have our own private island,” says Michael Paolini, owner of the Isles of Capri Marina. “There are no red lights and no traffic. If you need to get to the city, Naples is 17 miles away.” Primarily residential, the larger and more commercially fleshed out Marco Island is six miles away, where many head for groceries, school and day-to-day conveniences. "It's rural enough to where you're away from stressors but close enough for convenience." The neighborhood's safety is reflected in a CAP index crime score of 1 out of 10, well-below the national average.

Kids zoned for schools in Marco Island

Residents often travel six miles away to Marco Island for school, where locals can attend Tommie Barfield Elementary, then continue to Marco Island Charter Middle and finish up at Marco Island Academy. Routes to Naples, hospitals and airports

Capri Boulevard, part of the palm-lined Collier Boulevard (State Road 951), serves as the primary connector to mainland Florida and neighboring Marco Island. This 2-mile stretch north of Marco Island’s bridge provides direct access to the mainland, with Marco Island located about 6 miles to the south. For medical needs, the nearest major hospital is Naples Community Hospital located 1 mile from downtown Naples, while Physicians Regional-Collier Boulevard serves as the closest care facility. Travelers will typically use Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers, about 50 miles north.

One waterfront park and community gatherings

Paddlecraft Park is the only park in the community, featuring a 40-foot concrete ramp for kayaks, canoes and paddleboards and provides direct access to McIlvane Bay—a shallow, mangrove-lined ,creek spanning about 800 acres. Set less than a mile from the park, the Isles of Capri Marina accommodates boats up to 70 feet and serves as a gateway to Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, a 110,000-acre protected estuary spanning mangroves, marshes and open waters.
