A mixture of residential and commercial, along with several schools within its borders, the neighborhood of Casa View Heights sits along Interstate 30 in Mesquite. I-30 and I-635 intersect in its southeastern corner, providing access to the greater Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Gus Thomasson Road bisects the neighborhood, with several businesses along the street. Additionally, the Dallas College Eastfield Campus sits just west of the neighborhood. Mesquite parks, a recreation center and a library are scattered throughout the community as well.

Ranch-style homes fill Casa View Heights, most built in the 1950s and ’60s. Prices range between $150,000 and $310,000, depending if the property was recently renovated, or a bit more for recently built New Traditional homes. Homes in the neighborhood tend to sit close together among the many mature trees. A few properties have an additional garage accessed through a back alley, but most have an attached single-car garage on the front of the home. Casa View Heights is home to Broadway Square Shopping Center, which features a Dollar General and Savannah Fresh Meat African Market, plus Pancho’s Mexican Buffet. Line dancing, batting and skating all within the neighborhood

Florence Recreation Center has classes like urban soul line dancing and volleyball. Within the same park, Mesquite Public Library North Branch hosts different children’s activities throughout the week. Walking distance to Motley, Florence and Lawrence Elementary School

Students can begin at one of three elementary schools within the neighborhood: Zach Motley, J.H. Florence and Joe Lawrence, which receive a B-plus, B and B-plus from Niche. Ed Vanston Middle School receives a B-minus, while North Mesquite High School gets a B. The high school offers a partnership with Dallas College Eastfield Campus, providing 25 students the opportunity to earn an associate of arts degree in teaching. Casa View Heights is also home to Pioneer Technology and Arts Academy Mesquite, a charter school for middle and high school.

School recreation, a nearby dog park and the Dallas Athletic Club

Many of Mesquite's schools also have a public park attached to the grounds, usually consisting of green space and a playground. Vanston Park sits behind the middle school, and is home to green space, the Vanston Pool and several ball fields. About a mile south, Town East Park has sand volleyball courts, a pool and one of Mesquite’s leash-free areas for dogs. To the north of the neighborhood is Dallas Athletic Club, featuring two 18-hole golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus.
