Miami’s country club communities
Deering Bay is one of the most refined residential communities in Miami County. Many homes and amenities are connected to the Deering Bay Yacht and Country Club, and residents living at Paradise Point enjoy access to a private marina. The neighborhood also offers quick access to stellar schools and a wide variety of shopping while still within a residential space. The area has seen a rise in popularity, with many homes purchased by locals and out-of-towners who want to be near a golf course. This is because “Deering Bay is one of the few country club communities in southern Miami,” according to Hazel Goldman, a Team Leader at RE/MAX Advance Realty who has served the southern Miami area for over 45 years.

Dogs can run and play in this large, open area and then take a dip at the nearby Shoal Point, a secluded, dog-friendly beach. Visitors can find more nautical fun at the park’s kayak ramp. The park has also been undergoing renovations since 2021 and is working on the care and upkeep of its three baseball fields.

Residents living on the golf course can have access to recreation right outside their doors at Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club. The club offers a 71-par Arnold Palmer-designed golf course that is considered attractive for onlookers and challenging for players. The club also features seven lighted tennis courts, a marina, a full-sized Olympic pool and a clubhouse with a fitness center. However, club membership is optional, with “only 20% of residents being part of the golf club,” according to Goldman, so the area is not just for athletes.
