HOA fees are less than $70 a month
Homes are a mix of single-story and multi-level dwellings that typically feature driveways and carports. “They’re good starter homes because they can be financed easier than condos and townhouses,” Rodriguez says. Prices range from the mid-$400,000s to the mid-$500,000s. Townhouses offer private courtyards. They range from the low $400,000s to the high $400,000s. Monthly HOA fees are less than $70. Living in an established community tends to create bonds among neighbors. “It’s a very family-friendly neighborhood. It's the kind of place where people wave to each other, and they get together on weekends,” says Realtor Jasmine Monteiro of Realty One Group Royal Oaks in Miami Lakes. Despite its inland location, the neighborhood does face a high risk of flooding and wind damage during hurricane season.
