Latin heritage and lakefront living in suburban Miami
Cultural heritage and a refined suburban lifestyle come together in Olympia Heights. First established as a residential area to accommodate returning veterans after World War II, the area stayed popular with residents in later decades thanks to the beauty of its nearby lakes and the family-focused nature of its ranch-style homes. Like Westchester to the area’s north, Hispanic and Latino residents make up a large portion of Olympia Heights’ population, a quality reflected in the presence of establishments such as the Raices Hispanic Cultural Arts Center and many of the dining and shopping options near Bird Road.

Good sense of community, most of the neighbors have lived here for 20+ years. We don't tend to have community events, but mt family and I do go to birthday parties/other occasions in the neighborhood.

While this area has many things to see and do, the traffic is horrible and the streets are always crowded. The residents of this city do not obey the traffic laws, causing several accidents. There are stores conveniently located nearby. This city is over populated and I see that problem becoming worse in the future. The humidity levels are extremely high, making this city worse to live in than other areas where one can experience all the seasons.
