New and improved Pulaski Park
The 26-acre Pulaski Park has undergone some major renovations in recent years, and a transformed portion of the Kinnickinnic River now flows through the area. Other renovations to the park include a new basketball court, a new children's playground, a new futsal court, a new pedestrian bridge over the river, improved trails, river overlooks and a new pool patio with open views of the river. Pulaski Pool is a heated indoor pool that offers water exercises and swim lessons and is available for private rental. "Residents like the fact that Potawatomi Casino is nearby," Klose says. In addition to gambling, the casino/hotel, a 5-mile drive via back roads, has several restaurants and holds a variety of events.

Victorian era cemetery
Modeled after the garden-style cemeteries of the Victorian era, the 200-acre Forest Home Hills Cemetery & Arboretum is filled with dramatic natural landscapes, curved roadways, colorful plantings and decorative detail. The grounds were intended as a retreat for urban and city dwellers to reconnect with the beauty and healing qualities of nature. This landmark location, which takes up much of the neighborhood, offers daily tours.
