Early 20th-century bungalows and more
“The area is very affordable. People are drawn to the area because prices are lower than most neighborhoods to the west and south,” Campbell says. Homebuyers can purchase three-bedroom early 20th-century bungalows for between $70,000 and $100,000. Four-bedroom bungalows sell for between $110,000 and $195,000. Six-bedroom multi-family houses sell for between $170,000 and $200,000. “It could be a challenge for first-time homebuyers because they need the working capital to make improvements,” Campbell says. Frank Lloyd Wright’s Burnham Block runs along the western border of the neighborhood. The block showcases the famous American architect’s vision for residential housing.
