Densely populated yet quaint and quiet

Over 1,300 people have made themselves at home in River Bend, a small, homey neighborhood in Milwaukee's Southwest Side. With various special-interest shops, parks and a shopping center nearby, residents can easily find ways to spend their time off. Honey Creek trickles its way diagonally through this roughly quarter-square-mile neighborhood, giving it the fitting name of River Bend. The neighborhood’s streets are mostly gridded with some ending in cul-de-sacs and backing up to alleys lined with detached garages. Many commuters reside in the neighborhood, as downtown Milwaukee is less than 20 minutes away by car. “It’s perfect for those who don’t want to live right in the city but want to be very close to it,” says Dawn Kamalian, real estate agent at Shorewest Realtors.
