Up-and-coming suburb 8 miles from downtown
Greenwich Hills is becoming popular for commuters who want better home value with a convenient 8-mile drive to downtown. “People can get more house for their money, compared to the surrounding neighborhoods,” says Hanna Rudzinsky, Realtor for 4 years in Mobile with PropTek LLC. “There’s great opportunity here because it’s not as established as neighboring communities.” Enchanting live oaks and spacious, green lawns provide the suburban Mobile charm people are looking for without the stately, higher-priced homes. The heart of the neighborhood has many 1960s brick ranch-styles around the median price of $130,000. The community is growing with newer, larger Craftsman homes that can reach about $425,000. Sidewalks provide excellent walkability along the shady streets, and kids can walk to Fonde Elementary and Davidson High School. Outdoor activity spaces are less than a mile drive from many homes. Residents relax in the shady grass fields of Malibar Heights Park, and folks play pick-up games and tennis matches at Stotts Park. Folks make their grocery runs around the neighborhood, and department and retail shopping can be found 3 miles away at the Festival Centre.
Greenwich Hills offers a beautiful neighborhood surrounded retail and parks.

Suburban Mobile charm with lower-priced homes
“Greenwich Hills is one of the biggest value areas in Mobile,” says Rudzinsky, “the community has decent-size yards, and homes are continuing to get nicer.” Homes are accompanied by large front and back yards, and cul-de-sac lots are more spaced out by larger side yards. Three-bedroom 1960s brick ranch-style homes make up the older heart of the neighborhood, ranging from $130,000 to $160,000. Streets of newer homes have been built off Cottage Hill Road on the neighborhood’s south end. The four-bedroom Colonial-Inspired Craftsman homes are about $425,000, with large driveways and manicured landscaping.
