Spacious and luxurious North New Jersey neighborhood with exceptional schools
The community of Towaco, the old stomping grounds of the iconic "Real Housewives of New Jersey" member Teresa Giudice, is home to lavish estate living. Giudice and Eagles running back Saquon Barkley epitomize the celebrities that call Towaco home, and for good reason. The luxurious homes on spacious land, highly regarded schools and proximity to New York City make it a popular space for homebuyers. “Towaco is a place where a lot of people stick around,” says Sally Novak, broker/sales associate owner at RE/MAX Neighborhood Properties. “On my street, there are two children of people who used to live here as well. You can’t talk people out of wanting to live here. It’s 30 minutes from anything you might want to do.” Randi Bennett, a Realtor and the Team Lead for the Randi and Tracy Real Estate Team with Keller Williams Prosperity Realty adds, “The area offers a lot of amenities for families, it’s a great area to raise kids.”
From ranch-style and split-levels to large mansions
Located within Montville Township, Towaco's entry fee can be steep. Its homes come in a variety of prices and styles, with some sitting on an acre of land or more. “The lots sizes are nice,” Bennett says. Ranch-style, split-level and townhouses are toward the bottom end of the price range for Towaco, starting at $340,000 and going up to $1.1 million. Larger, New Traditionals and mansions in a variety of styles also line the streets. These homes go for between $1 million and $2 million. For those looking to build their own home, plots of land are also available for purchase and have gone for between $430,000 and $580,000. Sidewalks are not common along Towaco’s winding streets, making walking from place to place impractical. Residents will go almost everywhere via their vehicle. As for crime, the neighborhood's CAP Index Crime Score is 1 out of 10, lower than the national average of 4.
