Fun at Memorial Park
North Royalton has plenty of recreation space, as the city state’s almost 10% of its total area is parkland. The largest is Memorial Park, which has a splash pad, playgrounds and many basketball and tennis courts. Memorial Park is also the site for movie nights in the summer and other city-sponsored events. Many residents are members of the North Royalton YMCA, which serves as a place for community members to exercise inside during the cold winter months. The city promotes youth football and soccer leagues that play at Heasley Field and a youth baseball program that plays many games at York Road Ballfield. Hikers and bikers will appreciate being near the Cleveland Metroparks all-purpose trail, which provides miles of challenging terrain. The city of North Royalton is looking to create economic opportunities while maintaining a strong connection with current residents. One way to ensure both of these successes is through the proposed Town Center District, which would centralize restaurants and boutique shopping into one downtown area where community members could convene to shop and dine.
