Students assigned to the Ector County Independent School District

Crestwood residents attend schools within the Ector County Independent School District. Starting in kindergarten, children go to Sam Houston Elementary before moving on to Wilson & Young Medal of Honor Middle School, both of which earn a C grade from Niche. In ninth grade, students attend Permian High School, which has a football program that has won six Texas state titles. Permian High receives a grade of C-plus from Niche.

Get to Downtown Odessa using EZ-Rider bus service

Crestwood is a 3-mile drive to Downtown Odessa and a 21-mile drive to Midland. Residents can also use the Midland Odessa Urban Transit District bus system, otherwise known as the EZ-Rider, from the stop at the intersection of Andrews Highway and 37th Street. The nearest hospital is the Medical Center Hospital, 4 miles away. For flights, Midland International Air & Space Port is a 12-mile drive.

Splash around at Sherwood Park’s Aquatic Center

Just 1 mile north of Crestwood is Sherwood Park, the largest park in Odessa. Sherwood has four baseball/softball fields, a skate park and a playground. The park also has an Aquatic Center with a pool, diving board, water playscape and a lazy river. The pool opens around Memorial Day and closes in early August. Just 1 mile south of the neighborhood is Bellaire Park, which has a basketball court, a playground and a walking path around the park. Off University Boulevard, 2 miles away is Jim Parker Park, which has two baseball/softball diamonds, tennis and basketball courts, and a playground.

Various restaurants can be found along U.S. Highway 385, just west of Crestwood. Seven Brew Coffee offers locals a spot to start their day with caffeinated drinks like classic cold brews and lattes. Right down the street is Curb Side Bistro, which serves entrees like grilled cheese with pulled pork and bacon. On the other side of Highway 385 is Taco 16th Street, which offers Mexican favorites like tacos and quesadillas. The Permian Basin Fair & Expo at the Ector County Coliseum

Just 1 mile west of Crestwood is the Ector County Coliseum, which hosts various events yearly. One of the most popular is the Permian Basin Fair & Expo, which occurs around Labor Day each year.
